He has a company named Caterbee. An organization asked him to cater for an activity of hundreds of people, so he asked WaiWai to help him make food and be waitress. However, Waiwai had an exam and review section on that day. I volunteered to give a hand. I had a lot of fun to help the cooking process. Justin, Louis and Jessi?(I forgot her name) became my new friends. We mixed pasta, salad, and cut Watermelons. We traveled back and forth to bring the food and barbecue equipments to the pioneers' farm. We started to organize the tables at 5pm. We served the food at 6pm. I was accidentally chosen to cook hamburgers. It was a very hot and smoky position. Standing in front of the BBQ, unceasingly filping the burgers, I had to make sure they were fully cooked. An unskilled cook suddenly became a supplier of tasty burgers. We were tired after working a whole day, but I felt great to learn so much in one day and to know uncle Jerry. Jerry's friend, brother Ken Wang was Spencer and Luis' father, who baptized Kou's family, Sister Leung (Ieong Nga Guan) and Sister Liu(Lei Lai Ieng) when he was serving his mission in Macau. He was a pioneer of the Macau missionary work. I was so grateful to meet him.
A week later (5th of August), Waiwai and I went to see uncle Jerry's son Nathan Kou's baptism. That day was a long and busy day for us. The schedule was very tight. I was amazed we could make it to the baptismal service. I woke up at 5:45am. I went to Trax station at 6:45am and took the Trax to Sandy. I took Bus No.811 at 7:36am and traveled to Provo. My first destination was TRC at the Missionary Trainning Center. I met Jerry Tam and Winnie Tsui there. They were my friends from Hong Kong. They both served their missions in Oakland, Carnifornia. Waiwai was waiting for me at MTC. After our service at MTC, we walked to Provo Temple. While we were on our way to the temple, I saw Brother Mitsubishu and Samily Kwok on the street. Samily was a friend from Tsing Ying.
Waiwai and I had lunch at the cafeteria in the Temple. Then we attended an endowment session at one. The time was so constrained as we walked out from the Temple. We only had 10 minutes to get to the transit Center, but we did not have a ride down to there. I asked a brother (his name was mike) whom I never met before to give us a ride to the Transit Center. Mike was very nice and willing to help. We were on time to take the bus back to Sandy. However, we would be too late for the baptismal service if we took Trax and bus by ourselves. Waiwai smartly called her friend Betsy Ryan to take us to the Stake center where Nathan's baptism performed. Betsy knew the direction and took us to there in time. I was so thankful for that opportunity to testify Nathan's baptism and joined with other brethren at the circle of his confirmation. Waiwai and I both make an effort to find a ride so that our attendance of Nathan's baptism became possible. There will be real challenges in our lives. I have faith that if we work together, we will overcome all the problems in front of us.
What a wonderful home coming talk! Where? How?

When we fall in love with someone, we know there will be a day to tell
him/her our feelings. The questions remain as when should be the right
moment; where should be the best place; and how to say it so that we
can show our sincerity. My experience taught me that I should be ready
at any moment. I always pictured how I was going to approach, wondering
if it would work as my plan. I think I had gone over it in my head
million times before it happened. Before I record where, when and how I
told WaiWai about my feeling, I want to write a brief report regarding
to our temple trips. WaiWai has almost gone to the temple every week
since she is at Utah.
24th June, 2006-- Salt Lake Temple
30th June, 2006-- Mt. Timpanogas Temple

15th July, 2006-- Jordon River Temple

22nd July, 2006-- Salt Lake Temple
29th July, 2006-- Salt Lake Temple
Why
did I want to show this? Because the temple of our Lord is the best
place for me to share my feeling to her. The Celestial room of each
temple is the purest place where we are closest to God. In this room, I
felt the spirit so strong (the power of God was upon me) and it turns
out the best moment because my thought was really clear and I was so
close to my Heavenly Father. In Jordon River Temple, I was prompted to
tell her my feeling. It was a very sacred spiritual experience for me.
I felt uplifted and enlightened by the Holy Ghost in the Celestial
room. There is not a slight darkness or emptiness at that very moment.
No fear, but glory. I realized I had to tell her my feeling otherwise I
would be against God's will, so I did. (skipping the detail!?)
Surrounding by many people who didn't speak my language, I whispered to
her publicly in chinese, "I love you very, very much."
To be honest,
I originally planned to tell her my feeling on the street after
celebrating her birthday at a Thai restaurant. I recorded a happy
birthday song and my thoughts in a MP3 player and planned to let her
listen to it on the way to her apartment. However, Heavenly Father has
a better idea for me. His plan is perfect: right time, right place,
right person.

How was a T-shirt born?

Before Waiwai and I become boy

Correct! I drew these two pictures. I like to be creative. That is why I tried
to make a T-shirt with my drawings on it. I think it is cool! I called it the
project for Waiwai's birthday. This project is quite challenging. First, I had
to draw those pictures of high quality during my final week of summer semester.
I sacrificed my study time for my final exam to draw them. Fortunately, I got
As for all my courses. Second, I had to find a place would help me transfer the
pictures on a T-shirt. I went three companies, but only the last one was
willing to do it for me. It took me half a day to find the right company. I
gave the original copies to them and I left. Two days later, the company called
me and said their scanner was not big enough to scan my pictures. I was so
frustrated by the fact because I tried to have it done before WaiWai's
birthday. Why don't they tell me earlier when I was at their company? They
wasted my time and money for travel. "I wanted to give the T-shirt to her
whatever it takes," I told myself. Luckily, I took photographs with the
original pictures before I gave them to the company, so I saved a trip to bring
them from the company to the school and scan them. In the morning of the last
day of summer semester, I woke up at <st1:time minute="0" hour="5">5:00 a.m.</st1:time> It was not because I wanted to
review for my Music 105 final exam. It was because I enhanced the photos with
Photoshop and planned to print them at school. I was shouted by an IT
instructor, brother McRenold, when I tried to use the goofy colored printer
(there is only one in the whole college) to print one of my drawing in his
class. He was irritated. I was sad that he did not allow me to print my
drawing, but I was very happy about the fact that I would never take his class
at this college. Therefore, I left for the company, crossing my fingers and
hope that I can share the photos through my drum drive to the company. Blessed!
The drum drive worked fine, and they were willing to finished the shirt in 30
minutes. The final Exam started in an hour. "Do I have enough time to get
back on time?" I asked myself. The owner of the company saw my sincerity
to the girl I like, so she gave me a $10 off discount. Amazing! Even though she
knew that I am an LDS. (She is a Christian from another church), she did not
feel uneasy. I like her. Finally, I got to the classroom in time with my
finished T-shirt. The problem was I had not prepared for my exam very well. My
score was 170 points out of 200. My total points for the term
was 950 points out of 1000. That is an A! I wish WaiWai would appreciate the
T-shirt I gave her, because it represented my sacrifices for her.

A typhoon has just hit my relationship

Every couple on this planet agrees that no matter how much they love each other, there will be a disturbance in the relationship occasionally. Having Wai Wai as my girl friend and whenever she is next to me, I feel that I am at the best place in the world. Nevertheless, there are natural disasters like typhoons hitting Macau and Hong Kong where are war-free area.
Wai Wai got upset when she found out the package of the phone plan that we signed up together not as same as she expected. As I went to the a T-mobile store and was introduced the great value family plan (the cheapest plan) according to the dealers, I was totally distracted by the price and forgot to see the details. Usually, a family plan would give unlimited weekend and weekday nights minutes, however, this "Great value plan" excludes these two features. I was tricked by its price. This is a lesson for me: before you sign any contract, read the contain carefully. The dealers said we could change our plan within 30 days, so we have a second chance to choose what we need.
So far, I think this is the best plan for us. On my part, I do not use my mobile to have a long chat with anyone except my girl friend. And because this plan has mobile to mobile unlimited minutes feature, we will not spend a minute from the "free" 1000 minutes in our long conversation. In addition, I would use my laptop to call my friends who do not use the same service as I do. In conclusion, I use my mobile only for convenient, and not for long talk (cooking rice congee of phone) so that I can never use over 500 minutes a month.
Anyway, she was upset about an hour and that was my fault. I promised God that I would never argue with anyone, especially the people I love. It is always heartbreaking as to hear your love one tell you how dumb you are, but it does motivate you to change. Who does not make mistakes? We simply become smart as we have made enough mistakes. That is why having patient with ourselves and others very important.
To build a close relationship with someone you love, we need to have (1) trust, (2) attentiveness, (3) patience.
(1) If a person does not trust you, he/she will not tell you about themselves. To get to know a person, we have to gain their trust first. Through service and being friendly, we can gain trust. Of course, honesty and integrity are necessary. That means being your true selves but not wearing a mask.
(2) "by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise." (Alma 37:6 in the Book of Mormon) A small, kind action can touch a person's heart, for examples, smiling, opening all the doors (if you are a man), making desserts, giving compliments/ encouragements, etc.
(3) People have different opinions and ways to deal with things. There are moments that you think your love ones do things stupidly, and he/she think you are not smart as him/her. Be patient and give suggestions with kindness, let them govern themselves. (no dominating) Forgive their unfair judgements and believe we can change.
What is the best gift? Paul taught us about it, and shew us a more excellent way. (1Cor.13)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8
Charity never faileth...
True, true, true. When we have charity, we can have good relationships with everyone.

火柴人給至愛的信

全宇宙間最最最最最最愛的人蠟燭:

Walmart to order contact lens. In order to get a prescription for my eyes, I had a very detail eyes exam. It costs me 81 bucks, but the experience was wonderful. I met a black lady who works as an optician in Walmart. She has a bright and warm personality. I like how she expresses herself freely without any hinderance. She said,"I love it. I love your language. You can teach me how to speak Chinese." She said that she would go to a Chinese ward of LDS church and see. I called my mission buddy, TP in the afternoon and asked him to teach me driving in the U.S. I felt so happy to see him again. He is looking for a job to save some money, and planning to have a trip to Asia next February. He departed the idea to go to Jerusalem for four months because the trip is really expensive. We went to Trolley Square to get some application forms from different company. His sister wants him to work in a nice furniture store so that she can purchase the products there with discount. Brilliant! Afterwards, TP took me to a quiet neighborhood so that I can practice driving without any pressure. Driving on the roads again made me feel nervous, yet exciting. Quite different from driving in Macau, I drove on different side of the road. I will practice a few times more to prepare myself for the test on 15th August.
